San Juan Island Lavender Festival – July 18 & 19, 2026
The San Juan Island Lavender Festival is back! The island’s Alchemy Art Center has transformed the former lavender farm and created a lovely synergy between art and agriculture. Explore handcrafted lavender products and artwork from more than 50 local artists, take part in community art activities, enjoy live music, and local food vendors.
Lighthouse Tours & Whale Watching from Land
In summer, the historic Lime Kiln Lighthouse doubles as an interpretive center for the whale watch park. Spend your day exploring trails, whale watching platforms, and viewing San Juan’s wildlife.
Live Music Everywhere
Bring a blanket to the outdoor Historical Museum in town and dance to free, live music on the lawn each Wednesday evening. On Saturdays head to the picturesque San Juan Vineyard for live music, picnics, and wine tastings. Stop by San Juan Brewery for pretzels and beer and live music on their gorgeous outdoor patio.
Farm Visits Galore
Treat yourself to lunch at the oyster farm. Check out the cute, soft alpacas at the Krystal Acres Alpaca Farm. Schedule a tour at 40-acres Aurora Farm and stock up on pasture raised meats and eggs, fresh produce, flowers, herbs and more.
Vineyards & Distilleries
See where the craft begins and visit serene Madrone Vineyard for a scheduled tour and tasting. Visit San Juan Distillery, their orchards and Saturday tastings along beautiful Westcott Bay.
