Getting to Friday Harbor
How do most guests get here?
Most visitors arrive via Washington State Ferries (Anacortes to Friday Harbor) or by plane. Wheel planes are the most common, though some guests arrive by seaplane.
Should I make ferry reservations?
Yes. Ferry space can sell out, especially spring through fall and on holiday weekends. Advance reservations are strongly recommended.
What if my ferry or flight is delayed?
Island travel can be unpredictable. Please call if you’ll arrive late so we can note it on your reservation. While we are not responsible for travel disruptions, we will always try to help where we can.

Parking & Electric Vehicles
Do you offer on-site parking?
Yes. We provide complimentary on-site parking for registered guests on a first-come, first-served basis. On the busiest holidays, our lot may fill, but there is additional parking available right next door.
Do you have EV charging?
Yes. We have two electric vehicle chargers available for registered guests, also first-come, first-served.

Do you have a pool and hot tub?
Yes. Guests enjoy free access to our pool and hot tub.
Is the pool open year-round?
The hot tub is open year-round. The pool is seasonal and typically open during the warmer months. Please contact us for specific dates.
Is there a fitness room?
Yes. We have a small fitness room located in the pool house. Pool, hot tub, and fitness room access are complimentary for all registered guests.
Do all rooms have air conditioning?
Yes. Every guest room at Earthbox Inn & Spa includes air conditioning.
Do rooms have refrigerators and microwaves?
Yes. All guest rooms include a mini refrigerator and microwave. Several room types feature kitchenettes, making Earthbox a great option for longer stays, family trips, or guests who prefer light in-room meal prep.
Do you serve breakfast?
We do not offer a full breakfast service. However, during the summer season our on-site coffee bar serves coffee shop–style breakfast options, including smoothies and freshly made breakfast sandwiches. We’re also within easy walking distance of many excellent cafés and restaurants in downtown Friday Harbor.
Is daily housekeeping included?
Yes,housekeeping is provided. If you prefer extra service or additional privacy, just let us know.
Is the spa on-site?
Yes. The Spa at Earthbox offers on-site spa services by appointment.

Do you have rooms with two beds?
Yes. We offer room types with two beds. Availability varies by season, so booking early is recommended.
Do you have connecting rooms?
We do have several connecting rooms. Depending on availability, we'd love to keep your group together, just let us know when making your reservation and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Do you host weddings or events?

Are group bookings allowed?

Pet-Friendly Rooms
Are you pet-friendly?
Yes. We offer designated dog-friendly rooms.
• Maximum of 2 dogs per room
• First dog stays free
• Second dog is $25 per night
• No other animals permitted, except designated service animals
Dogs may not be left unattended in rooms or vehicles at any time. Guests are responsible for any damage or disturbances caused by their pet.

What time is check-in?
Check-in begins at 4:00 PM.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
Can I request early check-in or late check-out?
You’re welcome to ask. Availability depends on housekeeping and occupancy.

Cancellation Policy & Deposits
What is your cancellation policy?
A 10% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is charged the day before arrival.
You may cancel without additional charges (beyond the non-refundable deposit) if you provide notice at least 3 days before your scheduled arrival.
If you cancel within 3 days of arrival, the full reservation amount will be charged.
Please note:
- We are not responsible for travel complications.
- Many weekends and some rooms require minimum-night stays. Reducing your stay below the minimum may not be possible.
- Four or more reservations are subject to group policies and may be declined.

Booking Direct vs. Third-Party Websites
Why book directly with Earthbox Inn & Spa?
Booking directly through our website supports our small, locally owned hotel and allows us to assist you more easily if your plans change.
What happens if I book through Expedia, Booking.com, Hotels.com, or similar booking sites?
Reservations made through online travel agencies are subject to their policies and commission structures. Once booked through those platforms, our ability to modify or override terms is limited.
Can I modify an online booking site reservation directly with the hotel?
Changes to reservations made through online booking sites typically must be handled through the original booking platform.
