You've found The One. You've bought the ring. You've booked the romantic getaway & couple’s massage at the Earthbox Inn & Spa.  Now where will you pop the question?

We suggest you do it island style:

  1. On Top of Young Hill

Bring a bottle of champagne and climb Young Hill at English Camp. 1.2 miles straight up where you’ll feel on top of the world. Sit down on the mossy rocks, say “hi” to the bald eagle couple nesting in the treetop nearby and propose to mate for life.

  1. The Rock on South Beach

Uncontested, this is the most amazing island beach. Park at the north end of South Beach in American Camp, climb up on the big rock dividing two amazing drift wood beaches, let the seal pup swim back to its mom and kiss.

  1. Table for Two at the Whale Watch Park

Pack an old-fashioned picnic, park at the Lime Kiln State Park, walk south towards Dead Man’s Bay to the table above the steep cliffs, and let the Orca whales be your witness.

  1. McMillin’s at Roche Harbor

After promenading the docks of historic Roche Harbor, settle in at McMillin’s Dining Room, overlooking the marina at sunset and enjoy Island-grown food prepared to perfection. Then cozy up together in the beautiful fireside bar and propose.

  1. The Bluff at the Restaurant at Friday Harbor House

A couple of blocks from the Earthbox Inn & Spa, you’ll find the Restaurant at Friday Harbor House overlooking the town’s harbor. Sit outside on the lawn, have the gentle breeze caress your face while sipping a “San Juan Gibson” cocktail (yes, we have a distillery on the island), before asking the most important question of your life.
